Connect HubSpot Lists & Workflows
HubSpot Lists & Workflows lets Dash do the HubSpot jobs that normally mean clicking through the UI: create a list, add contacts or companies to it, and enroll records into a workflow. You ask in plain language from Slack or Teams, and every write waits for your approval.
This is a separate connection from HubSpot CRM & Marketing. Connect that one when you want Dash to read your pipeline, search contacts, or log engagements. This page covers Lists & Workflows only.
Connect HubSpot Lists & Workflows
Section titled “Connect HubSpot Lists & Workflows”- In Slack or Teams, message Dash and say
connect HubSpot Lists & Workflows. You can also open the Tools page at app.dashpup.ai, find HubSpot Lists & Workflows, and click Connect. - Dash replies with a one-click authorization link. Click it.
- HubSpot’s authorization page appears. Review the access it asks for, then approve it.
- Dash confirms when the connection is live, usually within a few seconds.
You need a HubSpot account with permission to grant app access. Once connected, all Dash workspace members can use it, unless you restrict access to specific people.
What Dash can do with HubSpot Lists & Workflows
Section titled “What Dash can do with HubSpot Lists & Workflows”Once connected, Dash can:
- Create a list: make a new static list.
- Add records to a list: add contacts or companies to an existing list.
- Enroll a record in a workflow: put a contact into a workflow.
- Look things up: find a list by name, or see which workflows exist.
This connection does not read your CRM records, search contacts, or log engagements. For that, connect HubSpot CRM & Marketing.
How access control works
Section titled “How access control works”HubSpot Lists & Workflows follows the same two-axis model as every other Dash tool.
Who can use it
Section titled “Who can use it”The connection has an access scope:
- Workspace (default): every Dash workspace member can use it.
- Private: only the person who connected it and people they add to the allowlist.
Set this on the Tools page under the HubSpot Lists & Workflows connection.
What each operation can do
Section titled “What each operation can do”Every operation has a run mode:
- Auto: runs without asking. This is the default for reads, such as finding a list by name or listing workflows.
- Ask: requires approval before running. This is the default for writes: creating a list, adding records to a list, and enrolling a record in a workflow.
- Off: blocked entirely.
You can change run modes per operation from the Tools page.
Approval for writes
Section titled “Approval for writes”When Dash is about to create a list, add records, or enroll someone in a workflow, it goes through the standard approval flow. The approval card shows exactly what Dash is about to do. You approve or deny from the card. See How approvals work for the full breakdown.
Disconnect or uninstall
Section titled “Disconnect or uninstall”To disconnect, message Dash and say disconnect HubSpot Lists & Workflows, or revoke Dash from your
HubSpot connected-apps settings (Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps in HubSpot). Either one
removes Dash’s access.
What happens to your data
Section titled “What happens to your data”Disconnecting revokes Dash’s access token, so Dash can no longer read from or write to your HubSpot account. It takes effect immediately.
Anything Dash already did in HubSpot stays in HubSpot. Lists Dash created, records it added to a list, and workflow enrollments it made are your HubSpot data and are not deleted, rolled back, or changed by disconnecting. If you want to remove any of them, do so in HubSpot directly.
To use Dash with HubSpot again, connect the app again, following the steps above.
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”- Connect your first tool for the general connection flow and what Dash never sees.
